About Me: Hi everyone,
Myself Antara. I'm from Kolkata, India.
An Internet Marketer by profession, I work in a firm located at the heart of Salt-Lake city. Exploring every nook and corner of the web is my passion.
I have a flare for designing and love to design pages.
And I believe that our life too is a scrapbook where we design each page on the basis of our own actions. Some of them are nice, others are clumsy. Some are just excellent while others need some renovations. But none are just perfect.
My blog is an online scrapbook assimilating tit bits of my life...a perfect portrayal of an imperfect image.

Winter Fashion |
When it comes to discussion 'bout feminine fashion, the contribution of over coats can't simply be overlooked. Long knee length coats are just in. And coats with a touch of faux fur simply rocks the market. My personal favorite is the sleek back colored coat by Hilary Radley. It is neatly trimmed with fur at the collars and cuffs. Apart from black, colors like cream, brown, pastel and white. Most of them are toggled with buttons while others are tied in knots at the waist.
The Jessica Simpson pea coat is something that every corporate woman would yearn for. Nicely shaped waists makes it a perfect fit. Made of fine quality piping wool, the coat has six large buttons and its detailed finish surely project class and sophistication.
Again collections from Woolrich depict modern outlook. Their barn coats, made of pure polyester with sleeves textured in nylon taffeta makes it all more covetous. That's all for today..to tell the truth, I'm not really in mood for writing today:) so, till then..... |

Blend it with colors |
I still remember the time when I always grew jealous whenever my teen aged elder sister applied lip colors. As a kid I was not allowed to use one and mom always kept her make-up box out of my reach. That was years back.. but my curiosity about lip colors never died :) And I guess this holds true for every woman. Application of lipstick dated back to 69 BC when Queen Cleopatra applied carmine and henna to highlight her lips. Applying lip colors is a pretty old practice and its usage has never faded. If something at all has changed, it is their shades.
Conventional colors like red, pink, orange and brown still rule the market. However big brands have come up with off beat colors in their kitty. And the most dominating ones in this respect happen to be brick and wine. While wine, strawberry, brown generally suit darker skin tones, shades like brick, peach and beige really compliment fairer complexions.
While discussing about shades, I would love to share about my passion about purple. It goes perfectly with all skin tones and in my words is the perfect shade that would help you depict a royal, sophisticated persona.
When it comes to selection of the right brand for lip colors, my choice is none other than "Meybelline". Their latest "wet Shine Diamond" lipsticks are easy to use and matches every skin tone. and are available in colors like pink, mauve, lilac and peach. Their ingrained diamond clusters flash a brilliant shine once applied.
That's not all, their metallic collection comprising of shades like Berry bronze, Copper pink, Earthy ore and alloy red are all set to rock you makeup kit and help you project a rusty look this winter.
The amethyst colored lip gloss from Estee Lauders is something I can't stop talking about. Available in softer shades like coral, honey and tan, they would just kiss your lips with their luscious brilliance. So, what do you wait for? Just pamper your lips with some luxury and get pampered with bounteous compliments..:)

Office Attire
As we know, workplace dress codes are a lot different from our conventional dressing etiquettes. At your office, it is important that you carry a defined persona & our persona is in some way by the way we dress, the way we make-up and adorn ourselves. If you have some specific rules at your workplace regarding dress codes, you don't have much choice. However in case you don't, a formal shirt and well fitted trouser would just be fine. You may choose to replace trouser with short skirts if you wish. The rest you need is a matching blazer and shoes. Now 'bout the make up. Use a deo or a body spray and a light moisturizer all over your body. don't use unnecessary foundation or base cream. Don't use any blusher either. Instead use a sunscreen lotion or a sun block cream over the exposed parts of your skin fifteen minutes before you leave for your job. For highlighting your eyes, use a transparent mascara and an eye shadow that match your skin tone. A light touch of eyeliner would complete the make-up. Make sure not to smudge it at the end. Maintain a defined look. I would recommend you to use a lip gloss instead of a lipstick. If you are too keen to use colors, keep it limited to pink, light brown or peach. Now comes the best part. The way you style your hair state the ultimate word 'bout you. A lot of professionals prefer to wear it short. In this case, a little combing and at touch of brush is sufficient. Sometimes you may tie a little pony tail and if it is of considerable length, make a french role or tie a knot with a clip. That would project a perfect neat look. A woman's make-up can never be complete without the right set of jewelries. For official purpose, you should use costume jewelries that go with your apparel. Dangling earrings are a strict no no. A small pearl or diamond tubs would just go with anything you wear. You may also choose to wear rings and flaunt a nice looking watch.Heavy watches are now the in thing in the world of feminine fashion. As per conventional belief, only men could carry them. But today's women flaunt it with the right elegance as it makes their arms look slender and highlight a feminine aura. Now you are almost done. All you have to do now is just grab a clutch bag, get gold of necessary files and folders and you are ready to set off. |

Beginning Of A Journey
The red bright rays of the morning sun had kissed the nascent dew that rested on the grasses and radiated seven rainbow colors that made it look almost like a prism. It was a divine beauty that did not miss the glimpse of a wandering traveller. He was moved. It was a rare sight that revealed itself on rare occasions. The traveller moved on and while it was dusk he stopped by a maple tree. The orange leaves designed with a typical geometric pattern crimsoned with the rays of the setting sun and gave it an ethereal appearance. It was a sight that transported the traveller to a realm of romantic fancy and imagination. And when the night enveloped the earth under its dark wings, the glittering stars peeped out of nowhere and started a wonderful display of colors. And the beauty was almost nonparallel. The traveller perceived the beauty of nature in three contradictory sequences. Well, I guess this is what beauty is all about. It is nothing but perception. It is the perception of anything that evokes pleasure in human senses. It could be the beautiful nature, a melodious song, a ballad, it could be anything. Some of these experiences are divine, some are sensual and some are just nice. And all forms of beauty find their destiny in the beauty of woman. You may say that a woman's beauty is a kind of symbiosis of all forms of beauty. The matured beauty of a woman represents the various expressions of nature itself. If the pink rose resembles the coquettish glamour of a twenty-five year old woman, it is he dry lotus petals that expresses the maturity of a fifty ear old lady. The pink roses are lovely, but the lotus is inspiring. The pink rose has a sweet life to begin and the dry petals have a story to tell. That is what beauty is like, it is nothing but perception, it is a concept which is to be unveiled. My blog is a journey. where I'm very much like the traveller in the above story. It is a journey to discover several colors of beauty. I believe that every woman is beautiful and external grooming are mere applications to highlight the same. My quest is to unveil this very beauty and at the same time make it bloom with radiance. It is a long long voyage...a journey that never ends, a journey without a destiny. |
